CHILD WELFARE OFFICER

Marcus Lewis is the Club Welfare Officer (CWO) and Designated Safeguarding Lead at Hawks FC.  He is supported by  the Club Chairman and Vice Chairman who are also qualified. All committee members at Hawks are safeguarding trained.

 

His role is to ensure Hawks FC is a safe and welcoming club and to protect and assure the welfare of all of our players and staff.

SAFETY AT HAWKS FC

The club has invested heavily in our safety procedures. All club volunteers and coaches are trained in Safeguarding and Emergency Aid. 

​

The club has an on site community defibrillator situated at the main clubhouse and two additional pitch side mobile defibrillators.

 

Our medical emergency plan is reviewed regularly, and we have emergency vehicle access at our club ground which is well signposted.

RESPECT CODES OF CONDUCTS

The Club actively supports the FA Respect Campaigns and Codes of conduct. 

 

"We Only do Positive" forms part of our core values as we want to ensure high standards are maintained at the club.

All players, coaches and volunteers are asked to commit to these to ensure the club is an enjoyable and friendly place for everyone to enjoy the game.

REPORTING A CONCERN

If you feel that an adult  (e.g. a referee, coach or a volunteer) is mistreating someone under the age of 18, there are various confidential ways you can report this.

 

By ‘mistreating’, we mean behaving towards under-18s in a physical or verbal way you believe is threatening or makes the young person feel scared or bad.

SAFEGUARDING GUIDANCE

The club works closely with Northants FA to ensure football is a safe and enjoyable place. We support young players and young referees at the club. 

​

We have undertaken best practice activities such as a "Your Kids Your Say" Survey where we asked all our players to tell us the main reasons they play the games we can ensure our coaches design training around these values.

​
