After the success of our first mini world cup we held another event with two strong teams from Corby Warriors and Corby Kingswood coming along to our new home ground on the morning of Saturday 19th July.
With tropical rain and high temperatures forecast we were fortunate that we managed to get 3 good games played on the day in a round robin event after a big storm the night before.
Plenty of good football was played from all teams in three close and competitve games with the Warriors edging play on the day with two wins.
It was nice to get some positive comments about our new ground and set up and thanks for hosting the event. It was a success for the foundation who sold over 60 Hot Dogs on the day to help raise funds for the team.
The Hawks are back in action 2 days later with a full game v Weekely Harriers.
