Footballers net a new kit thanks to local housebuilder

A football club in Kettering has been given a funding boost in the form of a kit sponsorship from a local housebuilder.

Hawks FC received a cheque from Bellway, which has paid for new kits for its Under-7s team.

The housebuilder is building a selection of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes at The Beeches at Stanton Cross, off Irthlingborough Road in Wellingborough.

Peter Bourne, Assistant Coach at Hawks FC, said: “The sponsorship we have received from Bellway has been a great boost for the club and the team are so pleased with their new kit. Donations such as this one help us to continue to offer children the chance to build on their football skills, keep fit and make friends, so we are extremely grateful for Bellway’s support.”

Shirley Macleod, Sales Manager for Bellway Northern Home Counties, said: “We are always looking for new ways to support the local communities where we build new homes.

“So when we found out that Hawks FC were in need of new kits we were really keen to help.”
